Speaker Information

Dr. Railey completed medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine. When he received his MD degree, he earned a Special Distinction in Community Service. He did his residency training in Family Medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill. After his residency, Dr. Railey joined Duke Primary Care and became faculty in the Duke School of Medicine MD Program Practice Course. He currently works as Assistant Professor in the Department of Community and Family Medicine Duke Physician Assistant Program, and he continues as Practice Course Faculty within the MD Program. Dr. Railey also serves as Diversity Strategist in the newly formed Office of Diversity and Inclusion. His interests include minority health, graduate medical education, interprofessional collaboration initiatives and cultural competency instruction/program development.
