On Demand: A Case Study Exploring the Use of New and Emerging Basal Insulins

Event Description

This session covers the implications of newer basal insulins in managing patients with diabetes. Ji Chun, PA-C, BC-ADM discusses barriers to insulin initiation, strategies for overcoming these barriers, data evaluation and recommendations pertaining to selecting basal insulin, and how and when to administer and adjust basal insulin. Throughout the session, clinical scenarios are used to apply evidence regarding safe and appropriate selection and use of basal insulin.

This activity has been reviewed by the AAPA Review Panel and is compliant with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 1.00 AAPA Category 1 CME credit. Approval is valid for one year from 09/20/2018. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
