Event Description

This structural cardiac disorders review course is designed to cover topics on the NCCPA PANRE exam blueprint as well as provide a basic review of core medical knowledge for any health care provider. In this course Julie Marshall, PA-C, discusses how to differentiate between various adult heart valve anomalies, acknowledging the more common abnormalities and associated physical exam findings. She also identifies the most common presenting symptom(s) of atrial and ventricular septal defects, and imaging modality options for evaluations, and discusses recognizing which congenital heart anomalies usually require surgical repair compared with those anomalies that spontaneously repair.
