This psychiatry review course is designed to cover topics on the NCCPA PANRE exam blueprint as well as provide a basic review of core medical knowledge for any health care provider. In this course, Rebecca McClough, MPAS, PA-C, discusses the historical findings and clinical presentations to differentiate between various psychiatric disorders, in addition to DSM 5 criteria. Appropriate laboratory testing or imaging based on presentation and/or pharmacologic treatment are discussed along with determining treatment choices based on diagnoses, symptomology, and/or historical findings. This is the second half of the lecture, which continues on from Psychiatry Review, Part 1. This section covers Somatic Symptom and Related Disorders, Eating Disorders, Childhood Disorders, Personality Disorders, and other psychiatric topics such as Suicide, Child/Elder Abuse, and Domestic Violence.
